On time - most scare and precious - in a world of negative interest rates
My favorite things in life don't cost any money. It's really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time. - Steve Jobs; taking into account he died so early of cancer, this quote makes even more sense.
Time is the most valuable currency. When you are young, you don't realise it and time goes slow, but the older you get, you have family, kids, friends, a job, a company, startups, etc. time flies and there is never enough time. It's easy to feel guilty of not doing a perfect job in everything, but that is part of life. Life to your fullest, carpe diem and remember Goethe's Faust:
Verweile doch, du bist so schön -- Goethe (Stay a while, you are so beautiful)
Negative interest give negative value on time. It's the world upside down; it is complete and utter nonsense that will end very badly.
“But who can say what's best? That's why you need to grab whatever chance you have of happiness where you find it, and not worry about other people too much. My experience tells me that we get no more than two or three such chances in a life time, and if we let them go, we regret it for the rest of our lives.” ― Haruki Murakami, Norwegian Wood
“As time goes on, you'll understand. What lasts, lasts; what doesn't, doesn't. Time solves most things. And what time can't solve, you have to solve yourself.” ― Haruki Murakami, Dance Dance Dance
Time is the least thing we have of. - Ernest Hemingway
