BANKING: Five global banks to pay A MERE $5.7 billion in FINES over rate rigging

LessThunk comment: These sums are newsworthy yes..but ABSOLUTELY nowhere near large enough to stop re-offending ! These fines are set at a rate that is considered “the cost of doing business”, they are an extra tax.. banks win biggovernment gets slightly more ‘tax’ and everyone else loses.. this will have to change..
